Maple Decadence
2 years ago we released three Decadence beers but there was a fourth that never made it past the draft sheet. Maple Decadence, the swan song of the Decadence family, shares the same Imperial Porter base as its sisters, but with this one we wanted to understand how far we could take our system when it comes to ABV. We did triple-mash, chaptalization, oxygenation during fermentation and a series of other procedures that are of no interest to anyone and we managed to reach 14.3% ABV. After 4 months of maturation we added an absurd amount of maple syrup from Canada and tahitian vanilla from Papua New Guinea. When we say “an absurd amount” we are saying that each 440 ml can contains 400 ml of beer and 40 g of maple syrup! It's the perfect beer to take to the beach and drink by the pint...
